Dealing with the North Las Vegas Municipal Court

I recently found myself having to deal with the North Las Vegas Municipal Court. The court has jurisdiction over traffic violations and misdemeanor offences occurring in the city limits of North Las Vegas. While on vacation in Las Vegas I received a traffic ticket and a friend of mine in Vegas recommended I check out lvticketattorney.com. After returning home I went to the website to find out my options.

I thought about handling things myself online but I found out from the North Las Vegas Municipal Court that they can not respond via email to requests for information on pending cases. Since I was not in the state and had to work, it was difficult to try to get answers about my case over the phone. Not being in town there was no way I could defend myself.  I didn’t want to run the risk of the issuance of a warrant for my arrest, suspension of my driver’s license, higher insurance premiums, or additional court appearances that would result from not addressing my ticket in a timely manner. Just getting the ticket was a hassle but dealing with it from across the country was doubly stressing. I also found that Most ticket companies in Las Vegas are not law offices and do not follow the formal guidelines to handle tickets properly. I really had to think carefully about choosing an attorney to represent me.

After reviewing the website i found that Las Vegas Ticket attorney was a true law office that had experience dealing with the North Las Vegas Municipal Court for traffic tickets and a host of other cases. I was encouraged to hear that in most cases tickets could be reduced to illegal parking, keeping me from having to deal with points against my driving record, notification of my insurance company or hassling with traffic school.

My case was taken care of without me having to return to Las Vegas to attend  hearings and I came away without a penalty from my insurance company. Although I plan to return to Vegas I hope to avoid future dealings with the North Las Vegas Muncipal Court. However I can recommend for those who do, getting an attorney is the smart choice.
