What our Clients Say About Us…

At The Las Vegas Ticket Attorney Law Office, we’re proud of our hard work and customer service. We’d like to share with you what one of our clients recently posted on a social media outlet, as well as sent to our website. Thank you, Krista, for your feedback! * Awesome place to take care of traffic tickets. I’m so happy I found Mark Coburn’s LV Ticket Attorney Office. He has taken care of my speeding tickets twice so far, and both times have been good experiences. Everyone in the office is very professional and good at communicating with you about your case—and you get a letter in the mail once all is said and done, confirming your ticket case was successfully resolved. I highly recommend this attorney. There are some other places where you pay a $50 flat fee to have them take care of your tickets but then you still need to go to traffic school. Not with Mark Coburn. I got out of traffic school too, in addition to no points on my license. Totally worth it! Krista P. * To read more client reviews, click...

160 Tickets Issued during North Las Vegas Pedestrian Safety Campaign

160 Tickets Issued during North Las Vegas Pedestrian Safety Campaign

Just on two days: May 29th and June 1st, North Las Vegas Police officers issued a whopping 160 Traffic Citations in order to emphasize the importance of pedestrian safety. In addition to the large number of tickets distributed, officers also issued 72 warnings. Officers stated that the goal of these two days of mega-ticket-issuing was to target drivers who did NOT yield properly for pedestrians, as well as to target pedestrians who did NOT cross properly. Did the officers receive backlash for their efforts? On the contrary. North Las Vegas police stated that citizens praised their efforts in trying to keep the roads safer. How Much will your Speeding or Reckless Driving Ticket Cost?

How Much will your Speeding or Reckless Driving Ticket Cost?

Do you like to speed? Many of us do. Almost 40%, in fact, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. To quote, 39% of drivers “enjoy the feeling of speed.” Well, the thrill aside, there can be some unhappy consequences to speeding– such as receiving a Las Vegas Traffic Ticket, hiked insurance rates, and in even more grave situations: an accident. A recent study conducted by a third party organization took statistics from all 50 states in order to see what the average fines were associated with various Traffic Tickets. The sample driver was a 35 year old man with good credit and no previous accidents over the past five years. Here are the findings: 1. Speeding in a School Zone Average Fine: starts around $200-$500 with additional costs for higher speeds. Average Insurance Hike: almost 19% 2. Littering From a Vehicle Average Fine: anywhere between $100-$1000 for the first offense. Average Insurance Hike: about 11% 3. Reckless Driving This is where things get tricky… and expensive. Here are some details for Nevada. The punishment for reckless driving in Nevada includes eight (8) demerit points added to your drivers’ license as well as possible high fines and incarceration. Misdemeanor reckless driving charges are brought in cases where no death or injury resulted: for a first offense, $250 to $1,000, for a second offense, $1,000 to $1,500, or for a third offense, $1,500 to $2,000. Felony Reckless Driving: A driver may be charged with felony reckless driving in Nevada if prosecutors believe that the driver’s recklessness was the “proximate cause” of the death or substantial bodily harm of someone else. It is...

Nevada Taxicab Authority says “NO” to Discuss Uber

Hours after calling a meeting to consider a defined stance on the regulation of Uber here in Las Vegas, the Nevada Taxicab Authority canceled the meeting. Ileana Drobkin is chair of the board that regulates Clark County’s 16 taxi companies. Remember: The state Attorney General’s Office, representing the Nevada Transportation Authority, took Uber to court after last November (when Uber wanted to begin a branch here in Las Vegas). NTA claimed Uber operations unlicensed and unsafe, and Washoe County Judge Scott Freeman issued a temporary injunction that prevented Uber from opening anywhere in Nevada. So what’s the future for Uber in Nevada? Why does nearly every major city in America have access to Uber but the place that arguably could benefit the most from it is unable to take advantage of its services? Could it have to do with the amount of power taxi companies have in this city? Or is is strict regulations in the industry? To Note: Nevada’s taxi and limousine regulations are among the strictest in the nation, and Last year alone, over $390 million in fares were spent on Las Vegas taxi rides. Also, in Las Vegas, the taxi industry is regulated at the state level by a board of appointed officials insulated from direct lobbying. “There’s nothing prohibiting them from operating here. They simply need to go to the taxi authority and make an application like every other provider in the industry has done,” Jonathan Schwartz, director at Yellow Checker Star, said about ridesharing companies such as San Fran based Uber. “If they just started operating, it would be...
